Your website name is ambitious? Are your assumptions serious?

- Yes the name is ambitious. The choice of the name is based on my experience in problem solving. Hidden waste, in this case hidden and avoidable emissions are sometimes difficult to recognise. In the Climate Footprint world world they are well known, but our solutions are quite new. Our concept are designed for transport/logistics.

-The solutions are based on accepting the current (emissions) climate situation, focus and hands on experience in parcel(sorting and delivery) and food(order picking) logistics. The combination of Delft-Industrial Design Engineering and benchmark problem solving techniques (Rank Xerox, Morton airbags) can be an tool in these subjects.. 

- Our insights and concepts are based on and inspired by the effects of our low friction trailer concept. Without this concept Emissioneater would not have been created.

You mentioned Cross Industry solutions, can you tell about your experience with it?

An Industrial Design Engineer from Delft is educated to cope with problem solving for both mass production and small series production. Designing for small series means that there is no budget for development and this only leaves standard modules, proven concepts as realistic options for a design.

In production there are often situations related to a specific situation: a regulations problem, a quality/safety problem or production capacity. The production pressure and the narrow defined circumstances require to look for a benchmark solution related to the specific issue in industry.  Zero Defects per Million and Toyota PS experience help to narrowly define what is required. It often results in simplicity.

- Swatch watch lens assembly technology for high volume consumer electronics assembly.

This technology helped to bring speed in production by introducing a reliable and clean working environment.

- a Poka Yoke system for assembly of safety parts - automotive industry.

A 15k dutch florins assembly aid enabled fast and error free assembly and replaced the scheduled (150k Dfl)automated assembly system. Parts which were not belonging to the scheduled set could not be built together and would not fit in the assembly aid or fall out. 

- Production system of competitors(parts for safety products)-automotive

- Tuna Can tech for a high volume electronics programme.

Zero defects coil coat realising a robust supply chain. The lacquer of the part(heat sink) provided a robust infrared absorption function which  provided the desired temperature reduction and enabled market introduction of the new programme.

- Plastics supplier providing insight with the Taguchi method.

Consumer electronics regulations issue related to plastic covers. The Taguchi analysis of the related data directed testing in an unexplored dimension. The resulting solution prevented a change to a doubled priced version of the plastic granulate for a volume of millions/year of the 2-3kg parts.
